What a turnover cleaning covers
Our cleaners work a turnover against the notes you gave us on the call: the unit's size, the number of beds and bathrooms, how we get in and what each stay tends to leave behind. The order is the same from one visit to the next so a host can send the same instructions each time and know what will be done.
1. A look at the unit against what you told us on the call
A walk-through of the rooms comes first. Anything left behind is set aside in a lost-and-found pile, and the arrangement for that pile is settled on the call.
2. Beds stripped and remade with fresh linens
The sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers come off and go into a bag for the laundry. Fresh linens go on next, pulled flat and tucked, with the duvet or coverlet set across. Linens are the host's to supply or arrange: either kept in a closet in the unit, or dropped at a laundry service by the host. We do not wash linens on site.

3. Bathrooms: fixtures, glass and floors
We wipe the shower glass and tile, with the mineral film off the glass and chrome, and work the sink basin, faucet, toilet inside and out, and the mirror from the floor. Fresh towels go out at the count you told us, and toiletries and amenities are set out if you have left them for us to place.
4. The kitchen: counters, sink, appliances, inside of microwave and fridge
Counters are cleared and wiped first, then the stovetop and knobs, the sink and faucet. The microwave gets a wipe inside and out. Any food a guest left behind in the fridge is bagged and set aside, not kept. Appliance fronts and cabinet pulls finish the pass.
5. Floors last, vacuumed and mopped
We leave the floors for last. The carpet is vacuumed, and the hard floors are vacuumed and mopped. City code counts streets and gutters as part of the storm drain system, and bars anything but stormwater from it unless a permit or listed exemption allows it.
6. A last look for anything left behind
At the end we check the drawers, closets, the fridge and the shower caddy for a guest's belongings. Anything found goes into the lost-and-found pile, with the arrangement for that pile settled on the call.
| Part of the turnover | What gets done | What to tell us on the call |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Lockbox, keypad or hand-off | The code or where the key sits |
| Linens and towels | Fresh set on; dirty bagged | Where the clean linens are stored |
| Bathrooms | Fixtures, glass, floors, fresh towels | Amenity set, towel count |
| Kitchen | Counters, sink, inside of microwave | Dish policy, trash and recycling |
| Lost and found | Set aside in a pile | How you want the pile handled |
Every turnover, and every few turnovers
The reset between guests, with a deeper pass for the spots that only need it now and then.
Every turnover
- Beds stripped and remade with the host's linens
- Kitchen reset, microwave inside and appliance fronts wiped
- Bathroom reset, glass and chrome wiped
- Floors last, and a look for anything left behind
Every few turnovers
- The oven inside, as an extra
- A deep clean after a long run of back-to-back stays
- Extras agreed on the call
When Airbnb cleaning fits, and when another visit does
When this is the right call
- You run a short-term or vacation rental and need a reset between guests.
- The schedule is driven by checkouts and check-ins, not by your own calendar.
- The scope is the same from stay to stay, with a deeper visit worked in now and then.
When a different service is a better fit
- The unit has had back-to-back bookings for a long stretch and needs more than a turnover. That is a periodic deep clean.
- You live in the home yourself and want a schedule. That is a regular visit for a home you live in.
- A one-off cleaning before you list the unit, with no stay to turn over. That is a single cleaning.
What a turnover visit covers in your rental
What a turnover covers for your unit is set by the written scope we build with you on the call, and that includes the parts we leave alone. Products are something we go over: ours or yours. High dusting happens from the floor; no step stools, counters or tub edges. Mold is small surface spots on tile and grout only; anything spreading or after a leak goes to a mold professional. We never offer to haul a guest's belongings; anything left behind goes into the lost-and-found pile.
From the call to the clean
- You call and tell us about the rental: beds, bathrooms, the kitchen, how we get in, the lost-and-found arrangement and anything each stay tends to leave behind.
- We go over the scope with you and build the written turnover notes we will work from each visit.
- You get a price for a turnover and decide.
- The cleaning, in the same order each time.
Los Angeles City Planning runs a Home-Sharing registration program for hosts in the city. Our turnover visit covers the cleaning only.
